Synopsis
Charlie spends the final hours of his Sunday eating ice cream alone in his flat, while a film that he has long stopped watching continues to play on his laptop. He is searching for a reason for his inexplicable melancholy when he remembers an old dream in which he was beating his mother. Doubt begins to creep in about how much control he really has over himself. His mind begins to question the authority it holds over his body. He tries to dig deeper but the deepest he can reach is his naked flesh. In the meantime, the movie on his laptop continues to play: a mythical hero from five thousand years ago is locked in a struggle not unlike his own. The next morning, Charlie wakes up fine. Yesterday feels distant, almost irrelevant. He gets dressed and leaves for work. But something has been left ajar.
